As those alarms sound out in the early hours of dawn, fetching kids from dreamland and plopping them back into the real world to get up and get ready for school, it is almost certain that parents are already awake, preparing for the day.
While their children shower and get their school items in order, mothers and fathers are fixing breakfast and laying out all of the traditional ingredients for their child's sacked lunch. Although produced with care, by midday elementary and middle school students will usually open those brown paper bags and be disappointed to find the same, banal contents inside, such as: a bland sandwich (more than likely soggy), a snack or two, a drink and a piece of fruit. And due to this daily repetition, more and more kids are becoming bored with their sacked lunches, either chucking them and purchasing whatever junk food the school cafeterias sell or skipping out on lunch all together.
To avoid serving kids a normal, daily dose of blandness and monotony, mix things up a bit by including some pouched salmon in that packed lunch. As one of nature's most healthy foods, wild Alaskan pouched salmon contains some of the highest contents of omega-3 fatty acids around, which help in child development as well as have been statistically proven to reduce depression and arthritis symptoms. Plus, since pouched salmon contains the same amount of fish as canned salmon, parents can ensure that their kids get a healthy dose of protein without having to carry that extra weight of a can with them all day.
One of the biggest problems with packing a meal for kids is the fact that by the time lunch arrives the sandwich is completely soggy. That mayonnaise and mustard just soak in to every part of the sandwich making it in some instances completely inedible. But with pouched salmon, problems of sogginess and grossness are a thing of the past. Parents can now provide their child with all of the ingredients necessary to make a great sandwich: bread, mayo and mustard packets, salmon and a plastic knife, and let them concoct their own lunch at school. Kids will love the entire process of making their own food, not to mention the great fresh taste of an Alaskan salmon sandwich. Plus, pair up that lunch with a piece of fruit and some carrots, and kids now have a great and healthy lunch that will provide them with all the necessities of a balanced diet.
So, avoid boring lunches and soggy sandwiches. Mix up your kid's lunch menu with some wild Alaskan pouched salmon and just watch as your children start begging for you to include it on a weekly basis. Lunch will be a meal that your kids never skip out on again.
