Get Audio Capturing Software
First, if you don't already have it you'll need a way to capture your audio. If you're going to use audio often, I recommend Sony Sound Forge Audio Studio 10. The cost is around $60 but you may find it less expensive if you shop around. The scaled down version is excellent for producing vocal audio tracks, is very intuitive and allows you to make accurate recordings and edits. Audacity is a free audio audio capturing and editing software. You can also save your recorded audio files in several formats, such as.wav,.mp3, and a host of others.
Create Content
Once you have your software and are familiar with it, you'll want to write out your script. I suggest that you write an article of about 300 to 400 words. That will be about a page of double-spaced content using 12pt font with Microsoft Word, or any text editor.
The reason you want to write it out is two-fold. One you want to practice your script a few times to get the delivery smooth. However, don't overwork it doesn't sound until it sounds very canned. Work for a natural pace and delivery of the material so you're not stumbling through it. Some read and speak with more accuracy than others and will require less time to complete this step.
Repurpose Content
The next reason you'll want to have the script written as an article is because you will re-purpose that content. Some people like to read, others, like to listen and others prefer video. Some like a combination of formats while others like all of them.
You can submit it to an article site to create back-links and traffic to your audio product. Or you can post it to your website or blog. This allows you to get more mileage from your efforts so that each time you create content you're using it across several media.
Publish Content
Once, you've done that you're going to record and edit your audio and save it as a.mp3 file. Next, go to CreateSpace.Com and complete the sign-up application. Upload your mp3 file and it will be available for sale online after review and approval.
You will need to create a cover for your.mp3 audio file so that it is not marketed as a hard copy CD. To do this you'll need a.jpg file size of 1448 x 1448 pixels, but verify these specifications as they may be subject to change. You can create this in any photo editor at size 724 pix, then re-size and upload it. Make sure you follow all the steps. Once your product is approved, use your article to market your new recording.
