Food

Fruits and vegetables are good sources of fiber, but you are much better off to eat them with out removing the skin because doing so decreases their nutrients. Fresh fruits and vegetables have more fiber then canned ones. Whole grain products such as whole grain crackers, cereals, muffins, and breads are good foods to eat. Adding nuts or seeds to you diet is another great thing to eat because they are high in fiber.

If you do decide to increase you fiber intake it is very important that you increase your water intake. Fiber absorbs the water, making the digestive process much easier.
